Learner of The Week 3rd Feburary

Miss Geddes has nominated the following students for ‘Learner of the Week’. Rebecca , Corey , Anouska , Tanvir , Amir and Hind - Year 10 Welsh Baccalaureate Pupils.
Money raised from the sale of stolen goods has benefited a Swansea community. PC Richard Jeavons, of South Wales Police, handed Clyne Valley Community Project (CVCP) a £580 cheque to pay for three seats and a goalmouth in the paddock near Ynys Newydd play area, Derwen Fawr. Inspecting the field — and to agree where the seats and posts should go — were Bishop Gore year ten Baccalaureate students, who will be working with CVCP on the project, and Swansea Council parks officer Adam Mason who will be supervising the work. CVCP committee member and Bishop Gore school governor, Lavinia Mitchell, who saw the grant availability advertised in the Evening Post, said: "I'm really pleased the police fund has been able to give CVCP's work such a big boost. "This is the sort of work our volunteers love doing because it makes a difference." It is a project that shows we want to include everyone in getting involved in the valley. And the fact that Bishop Gore school students are also going to be involved is a real bonus."
