Attendance is vitally important for learning.
By attending school every day the greater the opportunity for pupils to achieve their goals, get those qualifications required for the next stage of their lives and enjoy taking part in extra-curricular activities and clubs. (And there are plenty to choose from in Bishop Gore).

At Bishop Gore we expect pupils to be aiming for at least 95% attendance every year.

So I have a new initiative to challenge the pupils.

The Attendance Draw Challenge.

How to enter.
Only two rules to qualify.
95% attendance every half term
Attend on the last day of each half term.
Pupils that achieve this are automatically entered into a live draw which is shown at Tutor Time to the whole school.
Pupils get the opportunity to win fantastic prizes that have been generously donated by local business’.

The first draw took place in February and the second in April. The third draw this year takes place on Friday, 25th May 2018.

I would just like to say a MASSIVE Thank You to all you very generous people who have donated to the draw. It really is making a difference to the pupils and their attendance (we are the best that we have ever been). It is great to be able to reward the pupils for all their effort.
